This is cheesy
but I just found a list of what I want in a husband that I wrote in 2009. It made me giggle so much, but it was really good. I thought I’d share because it made my heart smile.
A nice, funny, sweet, warm, Jesus-loving, musical, guitar playing, sweater vest wearing, kind, handsome, honest, shy, loving, caring, hand-holding, nice hugging, Bible reading, nap loving, athletic, nice-haired, animal loving kid wanting, Chipotle eating, foot massaging, nice pants wearing, shower loving, dress loving, nice handed guy.
He’ll love me, read to me, play music with me, dance with me, take me to church, cheer me up, listen AND talk, give me hugs, kisses and hold my hand, tell me I’m beautiful, talk about Jesus, buy me daisies, lilies, and roses, take me to new places, play me a song, read books, Read the Bible, cuddle, and make me soup when I’m sick.
He’ll let me love him, talk to him, make him laugh, clean our home, make him cookies and cupcakes, play him songs on the guitar, dance around the house, hold his hand, talk to him about Jesus, make up silly stories, wear whatever I want, give him kisses, sing to him, have friends over, take him to all the places we want to go, buy him scarves and sweaters and ties. Who will love me and I’ll love him. And he’ll love it when I tell him he’s amazing, talented, Christlike, charming, handsome, respectful, and true… and actually believe it.
We’ll serve each other and serve God, and try our hardest to make our lives about the one who made us. We will join a church, go to Disney World, learn to surf. We’ll have a family, and we will be happy and full of love and full of Christ.
